First a coyote steals her dog and now there are spiders in Jessica Simpson's mosquito net. The 29-year-old pop singer got more than she bargained for last week when she traveled to Uganda to meet subjects for her upcoming VH1 series "The Price of Beauty."

The show, which explores the lives and self-image of real women around the world, appears to be getting to the pampered blond.

On Sept. 23 she posted a pouty, doe-eyed picture of herself underneath a mosquito net on her Twitter page, writing, "WTF?!? Do I really have to sleep like this?" and later "Bedtime in the tent is questionable."

Of course, her nighttime fears weren't completely unfounded.

Friend and travel partner Ken Paves managed to snap a pic of a nearby spider and messaged Simpson, "Is this the Price of Beauty? Don't let the bed bugs bite!"

By the end of the trip on Sunday, of course, Simpson was singing a different tune.

"Uganda was truly a beautiful adventure," she Tweeted. "I will carry the spirit of all the people with me always. God Bless."

According to People.com, "The Uganda portion of the show is going to be fascinating," but interested audiences will have to wait until its premiere in 2010.
