She has built a billion dollar fashion empire, but Jessica Simpson doesn't always get it quite right when it comes to her own sartorial choices. The 31-year-old arrived or a business meeting in Beverly Hills last week wearing a very clingy beige dress. The fitted frock pulled around her form, doing little to compliment her shapely figure.
Perhaps feeling a self-concious, she wore a long scarf around her neck and also hid behind a large black Yves Saint Laurent handbag. Jessica paired the look with towering beige YSL Trib Toos platform pumps, gold costume jewellery and some oversized sunglasses. The singer wore minimal make for the occasion, with just a dab of gloss on her lips, and also carried a bottle of fizzy mineral water.
Earlier this year, the star hired celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson to help whip her into shape ahead of her wedding day. She is expected to wed former NFL player Eric Johnson in the coming months, however she is keeping the details under wraps. Of course, her former husband Nick Lachey made it down the aisle before her - marrying his girlfriend of four years, Vanessa Minnillo, in an intimate island wedding on Necker Island on Friday.
As well as her bride-to-be duties and business empire, Jessica has another project in the works. She will join the new NBC reality TV series Fashion Star as a celebrity mentor. With a hugely successful clothing and accessories line under her belt, she will help aspiring designers as they compete for a multi-million dollar contract to launch their own brand. It will be hosted by supermodel and lingerie brand owner, Elle Macpherson.
