She has her own shoe line, sportswear line and women’s fashion collection, but it looks like Jessica Simpson is ready to add childrenswear designer to her repertoire. With the help of her younger sister Ashlee, Jessica Simpson has signed an agreement with The Jones Group to design, develop and distribute a new line of tween apparel.

WWD has exclusively reported that this new collection will be released laster this year in sizes 7 to 16. The line will include sportswear, jeanswear (skinnys, boot cut, flares, colored jeans and shorts with leggings), knit tops, hoodies, pullovers, striped shrunken knits, graphic T-shirts and drawstring pants. This will mark the first fashion collaboration for the Simpson sisters, who will be serving as co-creative directors for the line.
Interestingly enough, the tween collection’s footwear is licensed to Stride Rite and outerwear to Fleet Street! The company has already lined up orders with Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Belk, Von Maur, Bon-Ton and The Bay in Canada. Good news for those looking to save a few dollars! From the looks of the wholesale pricing, the Jessica Simpson Tween Collection will be affordable to the masses.
