September 29, 2009 |11:30 | Gossips  By : Team X

Jessica Simpson Roughs It in AfricaJessica Simpson is used to traveling in style – five-star hotels and restaurants, entourage in tow – but last week she experienced something brand new, by roughing it Uganda.

There, along with her BFFs Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb, she went to film the latest installment of her upcoming docu-series, The Price of Beauty, set to air sometime next year.

Posting a picture of herself looking forlorn as she peeked out from the giant mosquito net surrounding her bed, Simpson Tweeted on Sept. 23, "WTF?!? Do I really have to sleep like this?"

Only minutes earlier, Paves posted a shot of a gigantic spider and joked in a message to Simpson and Cobb, "Is this the Price of Beauty? Don't let the bed bugs bite!"

A source close to Simpson told PEOPLE.com, "The accommodations were certainly interesting, but Jessica enjoyed being a part of a totally different culture." Indeed, the following day, Simpson Tweeted, "LOVED my first day in Uganda meeting incredible women filled with spirit.

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe says hearing about Jessica Simpson's snatched pooch made her sad. The singer's maltipoo Daisy was snatched by a coyote outside her Beverly Hills home last week.

‘I'm very sorry for her loss,' say Debbie. ‘Coyotes are smart and hunt very well in LA. 'When dogs are small, you can't leave them out alone, especially at daybreak, night time and evening.'

Debbie's basset hound Ruufus was mauled to death by a coyote in 2004. ‘We were able to do the "country thing" - we shot the coyote and hung the skin on the fence,' she tells Us Weekly. ‘The coyotes moved on after a few days.'

Martha Stewart throws Jessica Simpson a bone

September 25, 2009 |13:37 | Gossips  By : Team X

Martha Stewart throws Jessica Simpson a boneJust days after Jessica Simpson's poor little doggie, Daisy, was snatched by a coyote earlier this month, fellow dog lover Martha Stewart chastised her. “(Jessica) should’ve been more careful,” Martha told Us Weekly magazine. “She should have watched it more closely.”

Now, I thought that was kinda mean of Martha, especially from a woman known for pampering her own pooches.

(Besides, Jessica's little maltipoo was snatched from its own backyard. What, you're supposed to keep your dog on a leash in your own backyard?)

Obviously I wasn't the only one who thought Martha was a little harsh. Sounds like Martha thought she was being a bit harsh, too.

“I said that she should have been watching her dog more closely, but I feel very, very sorry for anybody that loses a pet,” Martha said. “Jessica, I hope you find your pet, but if you don’t, I’m really sorry that you lost one.”

Jessica Simpson Calls Off Search For Dog DaisyJessica Simpson has called off the search for her dog Daisy, after a coyote snatched the multi-poo from her Los Angeles home earlier this week.

The singer and reality television star employed the services of Find Toto to help search for her beloved animal, but spokeswoman Clleen Busch told E! News, “They concluded the search and are not continuing it at this time. There are no leads.”

She adds, “They wanted to feel they gave it their best efforts. They felt chances were slim from the beginning. Apparently, [coyotes] are quite an issue in that area.”

Jessica Simpson Why Would I Stop Searching? I'm A Mum

Jessica Simpson Why Would I Stop Searching? I'm A MumEarlier this week, Jessica Simpson announced that her Maltipoo “Daisy” had been carried off by coyotes and that she was reaching out via Twitter to help locate the dog. Now, after a bunch of backhanded sympathy (mixed with a healthy dose of mockery), Jessica is defending her decision to keep hope alive—despite the advice of Martha Stewart.

It’s quotes like that one that make me wonder if Jessica Simpson might be a little deluded about this whole incident. Coyotes don’t take Maltipoos to the animal shelter.

It’s fine to say you’re the proud mother of your pouch in some circumstances, but launching into a kind of Amber Alert style crusade over a dog that was taken by coyotes…well, that’s a horse of a different colour. And it’s not just “a-holes” like me that think so.

Jessica Simpson Still hoping to find dog, lashes out at (bleep)holes

September 17, 2009 |11:02 | Gossips  By : Team X

Jessica Simpson Still hoping to find dog, lashes out at (bleep)holesI feel Jessica Simpson's pain, I really do. I have a cutie-pie dog named Daisy. And Jessica?
Well, she USED to have a doggie named Daisy, until a coyote snatched up her precious maltipoo Monday night at her L.A. home and carried it off into the unknown.

Two days later, Jessica hasn't given up hope that somehow, somewhere, she'll find her beloved Daisy, a maltese-poodle mix who was a gift from her ex-husband Nick Lachey. Jessica named the dog after her character Daisy Duke in "The Dukes of Hazzard."

She once said that the little pup was the most memorable gift she ever received. "She goes with me everywhere. It's preparing me to be a mother, I think," she said.

So I can understand why she's torqued at all the people on Twitter telling her that Daisy is probably dead. I can understand why that's not something she's ready to hear, or face. An angry Jessica posted this message on her Twitter page Wednesday night: "Still holding out hope despite the assholes that say it is a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby...why would I stop searching? I'm a mom.
