IT'S unlikely that many women ever thought the day would come when they'd feel especially grateful to Jessica Simpson. In fact, most probably never thought the day would come where they'd feel anything at all about Jessica Simpson.
The US singer and reality TV Star, famous for her "adorable" ditsy blonde moments is not exactly what one might call a feminist icon. In fact, along with Paris Hilton, she possibly had a fair hand in setting the whole movement back about 60 years with her Newlyweds reality show. But then, of course, the backlash came in the form of a media witch-hunt about -- what else? she's female -- Simpson's weight.
With magazines across the US pronouncing the singer fat -- in the same way they labelled Britney fat at the 2007 MTV awards, when quite frankly, most of us would kill to look that good -- Simpson came face to face with the price of public scrutiny, when the adorable blonde girl with the 19-year-old's body becomes a more fully rounded woman. And it wasn't pretty. And so Simpson is doing what any sensible woman, famous for being famous, would do. She's making a reality TV show called The Price of Beauty in which she examines notions of beauty around the world.

There's lots of reality TV news this week, so here's the pick of the litter.
My sister used to be an avid fan of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. Don’t judge — she was a celebrity-obsessed teenager, plus Nick is an inspiration to all those desperate to leave the conservative confines of Cincinnati. I hated my job at the time and on my lunchbreaks would take refuge at her place, where I’d be treated to such cable treats as Newlyweds and Pimp My Ride. After a few lunchbreak snippets of Newlyweds, I could totally see how Nick could claim irreconcilable differences as grounds for divorce — let’s just say that Jessica Simpson does nothing for the blonde stereotype. Now the pop-singer-turned-reality-TV-star-turned-country-singer is returning to her roots — no, not those roots — in a new VH1 show called The Price of Beauty.
Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital want you to enjoy your favorite songs...biblically. According to a recent study, listening to your favorite tunes stimulates the same areas of the brain as sex, enhancing the bliss factor during the act. It's no secret that music can have a positive effect on the mind and body; exercisers that have high energy music accompanying their intense cardio sessions report having more stamina (and thus, longer workouts) than those who sweat in silence. And music can act as a poor man's Prozac, easing symptoms of depression when the beat is soothing and pleasurable. With all these positive side effects, it's clear that you should schedule your day with the following format:
