Jessica Simpson explained about her new VH1 series, The Price of Beauty, to the Television Critics Association. She was thrilled to be part of this new venture, which takes her around the world to meet women in other countries and cultures and explore their fashions, diets, and everything they do in the quest for beauty.

“I think going all around the world and seeing all of these incredibly courageous women, it really inspired all of us to find the best within ourselves,” she explained. “And I feel like I walk around with so much more pride in who I am as a woman, as a person. And I got to do it with my best friends, and I think we all just discovered so much about what life really, really is and what beauty actually means.” During her travels for the show, Jessica took her friends CaCee Cobb and renowned hairstylist Ken Paves.
Surgery and Other Beauty Regimens

The series took them to India, France, Thailand, Japan, Uganda, Morocco, and Brazil. “We learn a lot about surgery in Brazil, it being about the largest for, you know, butt implants,” she said with a big grin. “It's definitely the largest place for plastic surgery. So, I mean, we discovered so many different things. I think one incredible thing that we all fell in love with was all the different religions and just learning more about the Muslims and Hindus and the Buddhists and how they define beauty. So I think [viewers will] see a lot of that throughout the show as well. And there are moments where I throw up in a couple episodes,” she confided.

Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan wants people to get to know Jessica Simpson... like he has.In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the frontman talks honestly about his suicidal thoughts and dealing with a "very rough 10 years." But there is one thing he is sure about: his feelings for Jessica Simpson.

"If I go, 'Oh, we're just friends,' then it's like, 'Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?' It has nothing to do with any of that," he told Rolling Stone.Instead, he explains, "Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that. I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed in him I would be really pissed off, she is nicer than I am. She didn’t accept his apology though so at least she is standing up for herself that way, I guess.

Although Mayer was a big part of the show the topic did turn to Jessica’s new reality show The Price of Beauty and women’s body images, including the scrutiny that Jessica came under for wearing unflattering “mom” jeans. I felt Jessica did an ok job defending herself but she didn’t sound all the confident when she was talking so I felt kind of bad for her. I mean she did attempt to make some good points but she just didn’t come off that well. Like I said I watched the show and it was pretty good but Jessica is well she is not the best in an interview situation and you could totally tell that she was nervous to be around the queen of daytime.

Jessica Simpson says she's "a little bit angry" with ex-boyfriend John Mayer for an interview he gave to Playboy magazine in which he called the singer "sexual napalm."In quotes provided by Harpo Productions, Simpson says on the Wednesday episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that she doesn't want people "to know how I am in bed." In the interview, Mayer talked about Simpson's sexual ability and said Simpson "is like crack cocaine to me."

Simpson also told Winfrey that she is "absolutely" comfortable with her weight and that she loves her curves. The singer says she's "not going to ever be size 0 and I don't want to weigh 90 pounds."

Jessica Simpson serves as host and executive producer of "The Price of Beauty", which will be debuted on VH1 at 10 P.M. on March 15. For the show, she embarks on a worldwide tour, where she travels to Thailand, France, Mumbai, Uganda, Morocco, Japan and Brazil before heading back home to the United States, to discover to what constitutes beauty around the globe. While promoting the show on a Television Critics Association panel in Pasadena, California, the former girlfriend of NFL star Tony Romo said that the experience she got during the filming has changed her completely.
